Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how intelilect LLC ("intelilect", "we", "us") collects, uses and safeguards personal data when you use intelilect.com and connected services (the "Service"). It is written to meet the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, the Swiss FADP and equivalent standards worldwide.
1. Who we are (data controller)
The data controller of your personal data is intelilect LLC. For any privacy request or question, contact privacy@intelilect.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data — email address, Google account identifier, display name and avatar when you sign in.
- Content you submit — questions, comments, votes and reports in QA_UA.
- Technical data — IP address, user-agent, log timestamps kept for security and abuse prevention.
- Cookies & similar — strictly-necessary session and security cookies always; analytics only with your consent.
3. How we use it and lawful bases
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to provide the Service, run authentication and moderation.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — service security, fraud prevention and product improvement, balanced against your rights.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies and any optional marketing. Withdraw any time via .
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — responding to lawful requests and retaining records where required.
4. Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We share limited data only with vetted processors under GDPR Art. 28 contracts:
- Supabase (database, authentication, storage) — hosted in the EU.
- Cloudflare (edge delivery, DDoS protection).
- Google LLC — Sign-in with Google (OAuth) and, if you consent, Google Analytics.
5. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA (for example to Google in the United States), we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, together with technical safeguards such as TLS in transit and encryption at rest.
6. Retention
- Account & profile — while your account exists, plus up to 30 days after deletion for backups.
- User content (questions, comments) — until you delete it or your account, unless a legal hold applies.
- Security logs — up to 12 months.
- Analytics — anonymised after 14 months.
7. Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these directly from your privacy dashboard after signing in, or by emailing privacy@intelilect.com. We respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK the ICO, in the EU your national Data Protection Authority.
8. Security
We apply row-level security, encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, principle-of-least-privilege access controls and continuous security scanning. No system is perfectly secure — report any concern to security@intelilect.com.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We will post material changes here and, where required, notify signed-in users by email.
